Curious about dragon boating? Come give it a try!

New paddlers are always welcome — no experience necessary. Come try up to two practices free and discover what it feels like to paddle with the Lighthouse Dragons.

What to Expect at Your First Practice

You’ll be welcomed by experienced team members who will help you get comfortable with the boat, paddle, and basic technique. We’ll provide the equipment and instruction — just come ready to have fun and get a little wet!

What to Bring

You don’t need any special equipment — we’ll provide the paddle and personal flotation device. Just bring comfortable clothes, shoes that can get wet, sunscreen, a hat, and water.

Most importantly, bring your sense of adventure. We’ll take care of the rest.

Visiting Guest Paddlers

Visiting from out of town and looking for a chance to paddle? We love welcoming experienced guest paddlers! Contact us before your visit so we can let you know our practice schedule and make sure there’s a seat available for you.
